Welcome to DPSIM
Step into the world of advanced mineral process simulation with DPSIM by EPM. Our tool is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the mineral process.
Unlike traditional static simulators, DPSIM incorporates the ‘time factor’ into mineral process simulation, allowing analysis of process dynamics such as perturbances and control actions.
DPSIM features a range of mathematical models to represent unit operations and material handling, alongside with reliability models to raise equipment failure/repair events, and process control elements to mimic operator and controllers actions. These features form a comprehensive platform that expands the application of mineral process simulation across multiple facets of the mineral processing industry.
Main Features
Mineral Process Models
DPSIM is is built upon well-established mathematical models to deliver a detailed process description, down to the multi-component particle size distribution.
The model base encompass a wide range of unit operations, including crushing, screening, grinding, flotation, among others.
With that, DPSIM provides a representative snapshot of the process, allowing users to predict product quality, optimize process performance, and identify potential bottlenecks.
Dynamic & Static Simulations
Dynamic simulation is created by integrating discrete simulations, establishing a sequence of steps. At each step a short time interval is associated, for example, minutes or seconds. During this sequence perturbations are introduced by the constant and gradual changing of parameters – e.g., feed rate, grade, or equipment ON/OFF state.
Reliability Models
Reliability studies are useful for estimating how the dynamics of equipment failures and repairs in a circuit affects production.
Traditional tools often do not take into account important elements such as the effect of stockpiles, and others hold-ups on the overall operational efficiency.
With DPSIM, these elements are integrated into the reliability analysis, providing a much more accurate representation of the operational scenario .
Process Control Engine
DPSIM features a sophisticated process control engine that mimics real-life operator and controller actions. This engine allows for the simulation of complex control strategies and operational interferences
