Why can Chrome say the DPSIM download is dangerous?
DPSIM is a new and currently unsigned public release. Until the download builds broader reputation, Chrome or another browser may show a warning even when the installer comes from the official DPSIM website.
If Chrome blocks the download, confirm that the address is dpsim.com and that the file was downloaded from the DPSIM download page. If you are unsure, contact EPM before running the file.
Why can VirusTotal or an antivirus engine report DPSIM as malicious?
Some antivirus engines may flag new or unsigned software using generic heuristic labels such as susgen, generic, heuristic or obfuscated. A warning should still be checked before the file is run.
Do not disable antivirus protection. Confirm that the installer came from the official DPSIM download page and contact EPM with the antivirus name and warning text if you need the alert reviewed.
What is software obfuscation?
Obfuscation changes the internal structure of compiled software to make reverse engineering more difficult. It does not change how the application is intended to work, but it can contribute to generic antivirus warnings.
Some DPSIM builds use obfuscation to make reverse engineering more difficult. Report any security warning to EPM so the specific release can be reviewed.
Why does Windows SmartScreen show an unknown publisher warning?
DPSIM is not yet digitally signed and may appear as an unknown publisher in Microsoft SmartScreen. Confirm that the installer came from dpsim.com before running it.
What should I do if the download is blocked?
- Download DPSIM only from https://dpsim.com/.
- Do not use mirrors, forwarded files or modified packages.
- If your browser or antivirus blocks the file, record the warning text and antivirus name.
- Contact EPM if you need help confirming the file or installing DPSIM Static Module.

How do I install DPSIM Static Module?
Download the installer from the DPSIM download page and follow the guided setup.
Does DPSIM require administrator rights?
The installer normally uses a per-user folder. Windows may still request permission depending on your security policy or selected installation location.
What runtime does DPSIM need?
DPSIM Static Module requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 or later. If the application does not start and Windows reports a missing .NET Framework runtime, install .NET Framework 4.8 from Microsoft and then run DPSIM again.

What is included in DPSIM Static Module?
DPSIM Static Module is focused on steady-state mineral process simulation. It supports flowsheet building, unit operation configuration, static simulation runs, model review and engineering-oriented result reporting.
Are dynamic simulation, process control and reliability included?
Those are advanced DPSIM capabilities used in DPSIM Full and project-specific EPM work. The public Static Module focuses on steady-state simulation and report-oriented workflows.
